LANSDOWNE : le retour tant attendu
Il y a des annonces qui font battre un peu plus fort le cœur des amatrices et amateurs de rock authentique et celle qui annonce le retour de LANSDOWNE en France en fait clairement partie.
Leur prestation Parisienne, en tant que Guest pour le groupe THE RED BAND en juin 2024 avait été une claque musicale, pure et sincère (lire le live report : https://mad-breizh.com/the-rated-r-tour-red-a-paris-le-23-juin-2024/). Leur énergie brute, leur complicité sur scène et cette façon incroyable qu’ils ont de se donner, sans filtre ni artifices, m’ont instantanément convaincue : LANSDOWNE n’a rien d’un groupe de rock ordinaire.

There are announcements that make the hearts of fans of authentic rock beat a little faster, and the one announcing the return of LANSDOWNE to France is clearly one of them.
Their Parisian performance, as guests for THE RED BAND in June 2024, was a pure and sincere musical revelation (read the live report: https://mad-breizh.com/the-rated-r-tour-red-a-paris-le-23-juin-2024/). Their raw energy, their onstage chemistry, and their incredible way of giving their all, without filters or artifice, instantly convinced me: LANSDOWNE is anything but an ordinary rock band.
Au fil des années, le groupe a multiplié les singles percutants (de “Bend the Knee” et “Savage” à des titres plus récents comme ceux de l’EP « Here to Stay« ) qui ont consolidé leur identité faite de refrains fédérateurs et de guitares massives. Leur toute dernière chanson, “Make It a Lie”, synthétise cette trajectoire en combinant mélodies accrocheuses, production soignée et énergie brutale, comme une sorte de manifeste de maturité artistique qui prolonge l’univers de « Medicine » tout en ouvrant une nouvelle phase dans leur carrière.

Autant dire que l’attente jusqu’à cette soirée s’annonce longue, très longue… mais c’est le prix à payer pour retrouver une formation qui a su conquérir le public Français en un show.
Leur dernière programmation, prévue le 20 novembre 2024 (lien de la new : https://mad-breizh.com/la-tournee-europeenne-de-lansdowne/), avait malheureusement dû être annulée, engendrant une frustration immense pour celles et ceux qui, comme moi, comptaient les jours. Cette nouvelle tournée vient donc réparer cette injustice. Et connaissant leur générosité – ce mélange parfait entre puissance et proximité – on peut s’attendre à un concert aussi intense qu’émouvant. LANSDOWNE, c’est avant tout une histoire d’humains : des musiciens vrais, simples, toujours disponibles pour leurs fans. Pas de posture, pas de frime : juste du rock, du vrai.
